Every certification we hold, the scope it actually covers, and how to verify it independently. Where a scope is limited, the limit is stated rather than implied.
How to read this page
An accreditation covers a defined scope, and the scope matters more than the logo. Our SIA Approved Contractor status covers Security Guarding. It does not extend to our facilities, cleaning or systems work, and we do not present it as though it does.
Where a public register exists, we link to our own entry rather than to the scheme’s home page, so you can verify us rather than verify that the scheme exists. Where no public register entry is available, the certificate is issued in writing on request, current on the day you ask for it.
We are currently approved by the SIA for: Security Guarding.
The ACS Standard looks at all parts of a security provider’s business. It takes a holistic view of how well the organisation is run. Approved contractors must show an independent assessor each year that they meet the required standards.
Approval covers security guarding. It does not extend to our facilities, cleaning or systems work.

Certificate numbers and expiry dates are confirmed in writing when supplied for a tender or audit, so that what you receive is current on the date of issue.

The following are not currently held and are not offered as certifications. They are listed because they appear on tender questionnaires and because we would rather state our position than leave the question open.

Workforce screening
Officers deployed on customer sites are screened before deployment. We carry out BS 7858 screening, right to work verification, and SIA licence checks with expiry tracking against the specific activity each person carries out. Induction and awareness training is assigned through our Induction Portal membership, with completion recorded against the individual.
Services we arrange rather than deliver
CCTV installation, remote monitoring, alarm systems and access control technology are not delivered by our own staff. BX1 Group does not operate an externally approved alarm receiving centre. We scope the requirement, appoint a specialist provider whose licensing and insurance we have checked, and manage delivery against a written specification.
Our own employed teams deliver static site security guarding and the provision of security officers. Every other service we list, including cleaning, waste, welfare, maintenance and day-to-day facilities support, is arranged with the customer and scoped to the requirements of the individual site. Where an arrangement puts people on site, recruitment and training programmes are planned and executed against the needs of that site.
